By creating a company account, sending an assessment invite, or completing an assessment, you agree to these terms.
SimpleEnglishScore lets a company invite a candidate to complete a short spoken English assessment. Responses are recorded, transcribed, and graded against the CEFR scale. Results are made available to the inviting company through the company portal.
Companies buy assessment credits in packages and pay through PayPal. A credit is consumed when a candidate completes an assessment and it has been scored, not when the invite link is created. Credits do not expire and are not transferable between companies. Because a credit is only consumed after a completed, scored assessment, purchased credits that have not yet been used are refundable within 30 days of purchase; credits already consumed by a completed assessment are not refundable.
The service may only be used to assess real candidates for genuine hiring purposes, with the candidate's knowledge that they are completing a recorded assessment. You may not use the service to assess anyone without their knowledge, or attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the platform.
CEFR scores and transcripts are a decision support tool, not a certification and not a guarantee of a candidate's on the job performance. Hiring decisions should always combine the score with the rest of your normal hiring process, not replace it.
The assessment questions, scoring rubric, and platform itself belong to SimpleEnglishScore. A candidate's own recording and transcript belong to the candidate and are shared with the inviting company for hiring purposes.
SimpleEnglishScore is provided as is. We are not liable for hiring decisions made using our scores, or for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
