SimpleEnglishScore provides spoken English assessments for hiring teams. This policy explains what information we collect from candidates and companies, why we collect it, and how it is handled.
From candidates: name, email, and optionally a phone number or candidate ID supplied by the inviting company; audio recordings of your spoken responses; and the text transcripts and scores generated from those recordings.
From companies: company name, contact name, billing email, and purchase and credit history. We never store full payment card numbers; payments are processed by PayPal directly.
Candidate recordings are transcribed and graded against the CEFR scale so a hiring team can review a score and transcript for that candidate. Company data is used to manage invite links, assessment credits, and billing.
Audio recordings are sent to a third party AI provider to generate a text transcript, and that transcript is sent to a third party AI provider to generate a score against our CEFR rubric. Payments are processed by PayPal. We do not sell candidate or company data to anyone.
Recordings, transcripts, and scores are retained for as long as the inviting company's account is active, so results remain available for hiring review. A candidate can request deletion of their recording and transcript at any time using the contact details below.
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
The company portal uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies from other sites.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
